COLLECTOR’S NOTE

Blue and white export porcelain from the Qianlong period was produced for both domestic and European markets. Landscape scenes inspired by idealized Chinese gardens and architecture were highly popular among Western collectors. Surviving examples with original decoration remain sought after for their decorative and historical appeal.
