📜 Description
A fine antique Chinese porcelain vase cover decorated in underglaze blue & white, featuring scrolling lotus motifs. The top is surmounted with a modeled Foo Lion finial. Canton ware of this period was highly prized for export and display, blending both decorative and symbolic appeal.
Collector’s Notes: The Foo Lion (or guardian lion) symbolizes protection, strength, and prosperity. Such covers were often paired with vases or jars, and are today collected as stand-alone decorative objects and study pieces of the Late Qing export tradition.
