Fine Chinese Porcelain Imari, combining underglaze Blue & White with iron-red enamels and touches of Gilt. The central roundel features a richly detailed Floral Medallion with peony-like blooms and scrolling foliage, surrounded by a band of stylized lappets and an outer border of floral sprays.
The composition reflects export influences during the Kangxi period, with vibrant contrast between cobalt blue and iron-red tones, enhanced by gilded highlights. The reverse displays a clean foot rim with a pale celadon-toned glaze typical of the era.
Condition shows minor wear to the gilding and enamel with age, and light kiln imperfections consistent with period manufacture.
Collector’s Notes: Kangxi period Imari porcelains were highly sought after in Europe, especially in the Dutch market. Their bold decoration and refined painting make them a staple in serious collections of Qing Dynasty export wares.
