COLLECTOR’S NOTE

Chinese cloisonne wares became popular export items during the twentieth century, drawing inspiration from earlier imperial decorative arts. Floral motifs, cloud patterns, and ruyi forms are commonly associated with auspicious symbolism. Small cloisonne bells remain sought after for their decorative appeal and collectability.
