📜 Description
Exceptional Chinese Porcelain plate finely decorated in vibrant Famille Verte enamels and iron-red with Gilt highlights, characteristic of the Kangxi period.
The central medallion depicts a refined Buddhist-inspired Landscape with a temple pavilion set upon stylised rockwork, flanked by flowering trees, scholar’s rocks and auspicious flora.

Surrounding the scene is a richly ornamented border featuring floral scrolls, precious objects and symbolic motifs associated with Buddhist and Daoist philosophy, conveying blessings of harmony, longevity and spiritual protection.
The reverse is sparsely decorated with iron-red floral sprigs, consistent with early Qing Dynasty taste.

Collector’s Notes:
Kangxi Famille Verte wares represent a golden age of Chinese enamel decoration, prized for their clarity of colour, painterly landscapes and symbolic depth.
Buddhist iconography such as temple pavilions, sacred rocks and blossoming trees reflect ideals of enlightenment, balance and renewal. Plates of this quality and complexity are increasingly scarce, making this a very rare and desirable example for advanced collectors.
