Chinese Solid Silver covered box finely worked in high relief with a powerful coiled Dragon encircling the body and repeated on the cover. The dragon is rendered with crisp scales, flowing whiskers, and expressive detailing, typical of high-quality Canton export silver made for the Western market.
The interior retains a rich gilt wash, a characteristic feature of Qing period silver boxes.
