📜 Description
Attractive Chinese Porcelain saucer with vibrant imperial-style Yellow Ground glaze. The interior medallion features two confronting Dragons rendered in aubergine and green enamel chasing the flaming pearl among clouds, enclosed by double line borders. The exterior is decorated with elegant flying Cranes and cloud motifs in turquoise enamel against the yellow ground.
Collector’s Notes: The Dragon is the ultimate imperial symbol representing power, authority, and cosmic energy in Chinese culture. The Crane symbolizes longevity and immortality. The bright Yellow Ground glaze was historically associated with imperial wares. The base bears a Guangxu six-character mark (1875–1908), a mark frequently used on later pieces inspired by Qing imperial porcelain traditions.
