| 📜 Description | A large Japanese Porcelain dish decorated in classic Blue & White underglaze, depicting a tranquil landscape with pagodas, rocky formations, and a blossoming tree. The wide flat cavetto is moulded with a subtle cross-hatch pattern, while the foliate rim is neatly edged in iron-brown. The reverse shows typical kiln firing spur marks consistent with Japanese production of the period. Collector’s Notes: Dishes of this size from the Edo Period are increasingly sought after for their strong pictorial decoration and refined yet practical forms. The landscape subject reflects classical East Asian ideals of harmony between architecture and nature, making it highly appealing to collectors of Japanese ceramics and interior decorators alike. |
